![]() ![]() What are available H5P editing configurations? Four are listed here. The inspiration for this post is my use of Lumi as the demonstration editor when I facilitate H5P sessions to mixed audiences or institutions that are not yet set up with a common H5P editor. This post introduces some H5P editing configurations and focuses on one, Lumi, that offers workshop facilitators and teacher developers a few advantages. This makes running professional development sessions more laborious, as the facilitator must alter workshop presentation, hand outs and videos to accommodate each H5P configuration. This is due to an institutional LMS or lack of an institutional LMS. One of the oddities I have found is that webinar audiences are aligned with different H5P editors. See full schedule of sessions and additional details.I have been doing my part to spread the good word about H5P over the past few years through workshops, webinars, conference presentations, blog posts and sharing “How To” documents. ![]() Please register by 9:00 am, Monday, January 6th. This is a great opportunity to discuss teaching with colleagues and CITL staff, learn more about key instructional tools and approaches, and 'warm up' your teaching skills for the spring semester. ![]() The workshop will have sessions on a wide variety of pedagogical and instructional technology topics, including: Course Design, Inclusive Teaching, Serious Gaming, Course Site new features and best practice Q&A, implementing multimedia assignments and data projects, AR/VR, essential educational technology tools, and much more. The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) is hosting a day-long workshop on Thursday, January 9th, 2020. It’s typical if it takes some time getting used to the new theme. In the meantime, we strongly recommend you switch your preferred theme to Boost and start familiarizing yourself with it this semester. January 2023: The Classic theme will be completely removed from Moodle. ![]() Monday, May 23, 2022: We will switch the site-wide default theme to Boost. To help us transition to this new default theme, we will be taking the following action over the coming year: It provides a much more modern look, offering a significantly cleaner and more accessible interface. The Boost theme has been available in Course Site for several years now, and many are already using it. The newer Boost theme will become the default theme. The Classic theme, the current default theme for several years, is no longer supported and will be completely removed from Moodle at the end of 2022. The first, and most important, change will be to the overall look-and-feel of Course Site. Looking ahead over the next year, there are a few significant changes on the horizon. The complete public release notes are available in the LTS Knowledge base along with simple screenshots and brief overview videos of key features. Several new features and enhancements were added along with some key updates to help lay the groundwork for major changes coming over the next year. On January 2, 2022, during the scheduled monthly system maintenance window, Course Site was upgraded to Moodle version 3.9. ![]()
